09 Jun 2007 - The Diamond State Corvette Club couldn't
have asked for things to go much better with their
cruise down Delaware route 9. Ten members of the club
turned out and welcomed the six guests who heard about
the event online and wanted to join us on that
gorgeous sunny day.
The trip started out heading south from Mike's Famous Harley
Davidson in New Castle, DE and followed route 9 south
around old New Castle. There was a quick stop off at
Augustine Beach for pictures and socializing. The caravan then
continued south on route 9 until reaching the Dover
Air Force Base. The trip ended by turning north to
have a late lunch at Boondocks Restaurant in Smyrna,
DE.
There were only two small mishaps that kept the day
from being perfect. They involved one person
losing a hat out of an open roof and another person
running out of gas. However, those small
mishaps were easily resolved and gave every one
a little extra to chuckle about at lunch.
