While learning to drive a standard transmission on a 1968 Camaro Z-28,
and a 1966 Maroon 327 Corvette convertible of his cousin's, Ward had
no idea that he was being infected with Corvette Fever. While on a
business trip to Miami, Ward received a phone call from Marty, his
wife, that she had found a Corvette he could call his own. A Brown
1978 Silver Anniversary coupe had been scored. It was dubbed by club
members as "Rolling Thunder". After enjoying it for several years,
Ward and Marty decided to gain some modern comfort features, so
"Rolling Thunder" gave way to "Rolling Thunder II". The stock 1994
Polo Green Convertible you see here has one upgrade, a Corsa exhaust
system of course. The car is in awesome shape, having taken 2nd Place
in the 2003 Corvette Club of America Members' Car Show at Carlisle, PA.
It is being babied as recent inspections determined that it is
averaging less than 1,000 miles of road wear each year since moving to
Delaware.
