Diamond State Corvette Club - Charities
The Diamond State Corvette Club has adopted the Delaware Humane Association as our community Charity.  After speaking with members of the staff it became obvious that aside from being a "no-kill" shelter, a very real community service is provided.

We hear every day of friends, family or acquaintences that have fallen on hard financial times, or who have aging relatives of friends that can no longer care for their family pets.  This is the most dramatic of places where the Delaware Humane Society can be there for help and support.  Either through surrender or through arrangements for temporary housing, the DHA is there to help.

We recently visited with the Staff and Volunteers of DHA.  It was obvious that there is a lot of activity and a lot of work to be done.  The building houses many cats and dogs looking for that 'forever' home in which to be loved and safe.

DHA is currently housed in a building that is nearly 50 years old, and design for this service has advanced dramatically over the years.  There is a capital drive underway to raise funds for a new, state of the art facility.  There are always opportunities for members of the community to help advance this cause, by volunteering to help care for the animals, maintaining the grounds or donating funds to help defray operating costs.

We are looking forward to a rewarding and exciting relationship with the Delaware Humane Association.
